This was my first time with Delta's new, improved first class catering. And this was my first upgrade on this route (which I fly about 10 times a year) since December 2013.
Entree: Crab cake with rice, remoulade and succotash
Side: Tortilla soup
Dessert: Dancing Deer chocolate sea salt brownie
Drink: Woodford
Verdict: This wasn't the most attractive presentation (not much color), but the taste was damn good. The crab cake was delicious, the rice was good and so was the tortilla soup. There weren't enough tomatoes in the succotash, but that seems like a small quibble.
Side note: This was a REALLY bumpy flight. I'm not sure economy ever got drinks and snacks. But the F FAs did a good job of running us food and drinks when things evened out. Good crew. Good flight.
Edit to add:
This was the red wine on offer. It was actually pretty good. FA said it was new.
