yes, quite happy with room+view
Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
o booked - side harbour
o modded - within 48hours 2x Double Bed
o checkin - offered either Lounge and linited upgrade or better upgrade w/o Lounge. As 8.15pm checkin (lounge drinks stop 8.30pm) and 7.30am checkout took better room option...........Given 2-room Junior Suite Full Harbour View
o checkin main Amb ground floor ..
- seems I may needesly have booked room 3-levels above entry level (as for RA)
i)Entry level room = Choice of Club Room (view not guaranteed) or better room w/o lounge
ii)I was advised book basic, take room upgrade w/o club, then buy club as separate upsell, over take lounge and upsell of room type.
How are the rooms?
o Full 2-room layout, with extra room for storage closset off living room

o 5seater corner type sofa in front of a funny soft top round table (my drinks glasses fell over
)
o minibar, TV, doors to bedroom and storage room
o full height small width diagonal aspect window with view to harbour in r/h corner of room
+ Bedroom
o Large comfy bed
o workdesk + chair
o similar diagonal view window to Harbour
o door to bathroom
+ Bathroom
o separate bath and large shower cubicle, agraria toiletries
How is the exec. lounge?
o Forgoed access due to late checkin (8.15pm), early departure (7.30am)
o was given lounge tour 8.20pm
o reasonable enough size
o evening (5min look around), moet champagne
o morning (5min look around), average breakfast offerings for an IC lounge, (I did not check if lounge allows restaurant b/f )
Did you receive a welcome gift?
A fruit plate in room, bottle of 2014 wine, screw cap nor cork

+ modded with 48hours when booking
+ at checkin.. offered choice of Lounge or better upgrade
+ Friendly informative (helpful) Amb Desk staff
+ AE then K3 shuttle from HKIA is just so easy (shame IC-GS is 5of6 stops)
+ nice proper 2-room J/S
+ Discounted Lounge Rate for Solo room occupancy
+ Nice proper bar with draft beers (IC-HK is sadly lacking same)
Value for $ or Priority Club Points?
- YES for paid entry level room versus 50K points for base room here at IC-GS
- NO , this trip I probably wasted hk$700 booking 4th room type up from entry level here over basic room. As first visit I wanted to guarantee a harbour view, but I know better for next stay here. Seems IC-GS RA treatment is quite open and reasonable here
Will you return ?
+ YES on transit 1nighters, or late arrival in HK as Airport Express and free K3 shuttle from Kowloon and eg HI Causeway is a higher rate so IC-GS is actually a cheap(ish) option. Then after 1night it is just a 5min hk$30 regular taxi to IC-HK
+ NO, For Longer stays, I liked my views later this trip from other IC-HK better although at a 250% higher rate.
