Related to the changes for AS/Alaska, I found another issue that doesn't (on surface) seem to make sense.
'S' is considered "full fare economy" and gets 1.0 EQM.
'H' (the lowest mileage-upgradeable fare on the AS site) only gets 0.5 EQM.
In looking at some fares, the 'H' fares seems to be higher. In this case, the 'S' fare was on AA.com and was the A codeshare in 'S', so it's not quite apples/apples. Still, in this case it was about $480 for the fare that got 1.0 EQM (and was not upgradeable) and about $750 for the upgradeable 0.5 EQM fare.
Usually (and I know that this is not universal) the higher fare classes have higher fares, and get more EQM.
This one just seems odd.
Cheers.
