I was looking at the Deep Discount on BA. It has
25% Base Miles (Elite Qualifying)
0.5 EQM per mile flown.
So, it's either EQM = 0.5 * number of actual flown miles (and the Base Miles column has no meaning)
or it's EQM = 0.25 * 0.5 (=0.125) * actual number of miles flown.
Definitely not clear.
I posted almost the identical question in the BA earnings thread
brp, and it's not clear to me either. Is it 50% or 12.5%? The source of my confusion is the same as yours --the parenthetical words elite qualifying. I wonder if "(elite qualifying)" is a mistaken holdover from an earlier chart?
That's what I would have thought had it not said (elite qualifying) on what would be presumed to be the RDM multiplier. But this is what I'm thinking as well, despite that.
