Something's fishy about these sudden 'mechanical' issues with the fleet on these runs though. 3 28J PS birds out for maintenance, some 16J birds, and now a 764 going mechanical for 5 hours.

Are the turns per bird significantly shorter now?

This will sound inflammatory but always in the back of my mind with UA history is "what is the union's motive". It's not always the case. But it sadly the case more than any other airline in this country, and has been for 30 years.
