4 people fit easily in a Taxi, 3 in the back, 1 in the front. But depending how much luggage you have it might not fit in the trunk.
Some drivers (and cars) in Hong Kong allow up to 5 passengers (2 in the front). So a family of 4 should not have problems fitting in one car.
