That's quite common IME. The Fairmont IT system is far from perfect.
Sometimes the res is updated, sometimes it isn't.
Sometimes I get an e-mail showing the upgraded room/suite category, sometimes I don't.
If you want to be 100% sure, I'd suggest sending the hotel an e-mail.
Or calling Fairmont.
It's 50/50 for me. Sometimes it shows up, sometimes it doesn't.
