Compensation: “Bumps” — Voluntary and Involuntary Denied Boarding
This is a total guess... Maybe every medallion was upgraded and GA didn't want to upgrade a random kettle to 1st. Or they need 5 and neither of the groups of 2 or 3 would split up and go solo. I think if there was another solo you would've got it.
