In other news, I misread my Chase Freedom statement, and thought I had spent $500 to earn 2000 points. Turns out I came up $1.30 short, and they refuse to give me the bonus. But they said I could cancel, and sign up again the next day, since I didn't earn any bonus. Unfortunately, that 2000 point bonus has expired.
Yet another BA update. Chase wrote again. This time, it was a senior customer service specialist, and they said I DID qualify because they counted from the first bonus I earned previously, which was in Jan 2013.
Apparently, the next two bonuses DON'T count.
I'm going to call them tomorrow, and confirm, and reinstate the card that I had closed, if this is accurate.
