I think my last stay must have been a dozen years ago. I liked the Plaza, but it certainly must have changed under Fairmont. I used to visit the Oak Room bar even when I wasn't staying at the hotel. It was a favorite. However I see that is has been closed since Fairmont took over. The website says it will open again soon.

And of course it has the great views over the park and immediate access to the south end.
