Obviously we can't expect them to do that for every flight, but I wanted to share my experience and see if anyone else had had similar experiences.
Not long ago I was on a delayed flight and had a tight connection in MIA on the last flight to my destination that evening, When the plane parked at the gate, the seatbelt sign stayed on, AA personnel boarded, got me, and escorted me off the plane first so I could make my connecting flight.

I'm a run of the mill EXP - made me realize that AA does value us.
