Chances are it is a legitimate offer. Even if AA says they will not sell our contact info, they may cooperate with a product offering where the addresses are supplied to a third-party to merge with an approved mailing. The vendor does not end up with your address unless you choose to respond. As JDiver says, USPS mailings are much more expensive and carry potential federal charges if deemed fraudulent.

Compare the terms with your Citi plan to see if there is anything additional you feel you need. Doing this at time of need is much more stressful, so having something in place makes the whole process that much easier.
