I've not stayed there, though I'm sure someone on the BA board would have an opinion. For me, airport hotels are really useful for short nights, early mornings, or when I want to leave a bag near the airport, spend a day in meetings, and then fly out in the evening.

The only time I've actually stayed in Manchester was at the City Inn about 6 years ago which is more central. It's been a while, but I think it was fairly nice and centrally located in the city.
