One year regular rate in the USA is $225 so I guess its not a terrible rate, but you can book it on Amazon.com for just $130.

I booked the Economist on Groupon two years back for less than $100. Might be worth checking for those deals too.
I did a one year Economist during June 2013 with SW points. It required very few points and I calculated the price to be about $20. I couldn't find any offers recently.
