Huh?
Near which US western national parks? Not Olympic, that only has Choice (near the north entrance). Not Yosemite, only Best Western and Choice are in the nearest towns (Oakhurst and Mariposa), LQ is way over in Fresno (where there's lots of hotel programs to choose from). Yes, LQ's in Moab, but what hotel program (with a midsclae or lower property) isn't? I've browsed their interactive map and I can't figure out how you're coming that conclusion, unless you know something about their future plans that I don't see on their website.
As I see it (based on LQ's interactive map), La Qunita's at best a distant
third for closeness to western national parks after Best Western and Choice. Which is why I haven't bothered with collecting LQ points (I always earn miles when staying at LQ).
