How was the rate done? Was it hourly or fixed? I could actually use the meeting room for work if it were $100 for 6 hours.
My understanding is every situation is different, with some properties having rigid policies and others not so much. I asked for an hour (and got 2), but I don't know if it would have been more $ if I'd asked for 3 or 4 or 5, given the last minute nature of my request.
I did call other properties in the area. The CY I booked was a little farther away from Boston (495 as opposed to 128) than some that were charging a lot more. At one, I was told $300, no matter how long, since they had to set up the room, blah, blah, blah.
