Well, these are folks working for large corporations who have seen their wages stay flat and productivity being driven up in the past 10 or so years. Now that the economy is consistently growing and the employers reporting good numbers, they are scratching their heads and thinking why they should be paid less or the same for more work. Hence the disgust. Since the management has better things to do than listen, they resort to the options at their disposal.
