With that sentiment, Magic, I most wholeheartedly agree, Craig does Rock the House!

With regard to the ghetto/barrio/ramblas of FlyerTalk, my recollection is that they resided primarily in OMNI, which was fine by me, I rarely went there then and probably wouldn't go there much now except I was turned on to the word association thread by a friend. The 138+ topics that have been removed from Miles Buzz in the past two months were not inflammatory or argumentative, they were just posts misplaced for the most part through innocent ignorance. There is no question that we need order and careful moderation, my suggestions are merely intended as a method to improve on the way in which those goals are achieved.

FlyerTalk is the extraordinary place that it is (maybe becoming was) not just because of the information contained thereon (most of the basic facts can be obtained on the program websites) but also because of the incomparable community that exists thereon. That community grew from folks who stumbled on the site and made their first posts (usually in The Buzz or Miles Buzz) were made to feel welcomed and stayed on, in many cases for years to come. I am just very concerned about those excellent people who I know for a fact have been driven away, some by total confusion, some by changes in policy, and many by inconsistent treatment of posters and lack of moderation.

I think FlyerTalk would be a far less valuable place if it got to the point where members of the community were discouraged from expressing their opinions unless those opinions fell into direct line with the opinions of the administration and/or the majority. I also think it is a sad day when posters are subject to insults from so-called leaders simply because they politely express an alternative point of view. To my mind that is very much gestapo thinking.
