A friend of mine is planning a big trip and wants to use his Marriott points on UA. We think it will take 1 travel package + additional points.

Does it violate any rules with Marriott or UA if he transfers the points to my UA account and I book for him? This eliminates any UA service fees if we have to make changes (I have status on UA and he does not).
