OP - TIMATIC itself makes clear (although the wording could be better) that if you hold a visa on an "invalidated" document, the visa is acceptable if you accompany the invalidated document with a new document. Meaning that if your visa is stamped into an expired passport, it will be accepted if otherwise valid and accompanied by a new passport.
It is well worth 5 minutes of your time to go to one of the many sites which offer no charge access to TIMATIC (one is at the link below) and plug in the variables which apply to you, e.g. Thai passport and so on. Print out the TIMATIC entry and keep it with you. Do not volunteer it at check in. But, if there is a dispute, calmly ask the agent to look up your situation in TIMATIC and make clear that you already have done so and have a paper copy handy for the agent if that is helpful.
This incidentally is a helpful thing to do when you are traveling overseas. It takes almost no time and can save endless headaches at the airport.
