42. What U.S. airline introduced ETOPs flights across the Atlantic? What type of aircraft was used?
TWA with a 767-200
This is correct. However, it wasn't really a great event. TWA had been serving their Boston to Paris route for some time with the 767, just keeping within the old 60-minute radius of available points. All the ETOPS rating allowed was for them to route a little further south. In the beginning, some of the detailed requirements didn't quite work out on some days, so they just reverted to that previous routing and arrived a bit late (as, indeed, still sometimes happens).
