Second, many threads on this issue. Without exception, if you fail to show for the first segment (or any segment but the last), the remaining portion of your ticket will be cancelled.
So, in your case, if you fail to fly the TPA to ATL segment, your connection in ATL to Saint Martin will be cancelled as well as the flights returning to the states.
