I've done 3 BA holiday bookings (return flight + hotel) in past 12 months, EDI to Bologna, deposit option available; OSL to BOS, deposit option available; EDI to IST deposit option not available. So ex-Europe is OK, but I have no explanation why the most recent EDI-IST holiday booking did not offer the deposit option
