I grew up in Los Angeles, practicing nuclear missile drills by cowering under plywood desks. So I am living in a place I really never expected to visit. You may find it shockingly hyper-commercial here, but there is still a lot of soviet era public art and last week I saw three old guys in the park with a ussr flag.
