QF is now offering a great sale. If I didn't think it would totally screw things up, I would be better off purchasing my tickets not only b/c its a good deal, I have the money, I get all those elite miles (which I'll probably need since work travel has diminished), I'll get bonus miles since I made XPLAT this year and also will now have a chance for "complimentary" upgrades domestically.

I have no idea what happens to my daughters award that we are joined on (same locator) if I pull out. [Likely nothing bad] Does she lose her assigned seats? [She should not. Its a bug in your favor.]

MIA-LAX (same locator - Z class)
LAX-MEL-ADL (same locator - X class)

SYD - DFW (separate locators b/c I was able to secure only one Biz award and daughter has separate locator for economy). I do have EF alert set up for another biz - see I'm a good mom.

DFW - MIA (same locator Z class)

I would purchase all these same flights for about $1500 for me alone and still use the miles for daughters tix. Would actually only be $200 less removing the mia portion and since I'm now eligible for XPLAT upgrades - why not? Now I'm using savers at 25K ea.

So the question is, would this totally screw up my daughter's tickets. [She should be fine] Is there anyway I can change the name on the award ticket on the return from mine to hers for that Biz ticket (I think the answer is no). [Certainly no] grrrrrrrrr

The sale only last another day so I need to make some decisions. Unfortunately their sale is really only good round trip (or seems multi - but not one way).
