I went to a Citi Bank in Sunnyvale and I was able to submit an in branch app. At first the banker mentioned that it was only for Citi Gold members only but I told him that a friend was able to app it and get the offer by leaving the Citi Gold # section blank. After that, the banker was still skeptical but allowed me to fill out the application.
Told me it would take about 2 weeks to get the card.
Good idea. Sneaky .......s changed their hours from 8-5 at the branches by me to 9-4, so wasn't able to try yesterday. Will try this method today.
Edit: Banker allowed me to fill out the app using my former Citigold account number. It's a paper app, so will take a while to process. We'll see how it goes.
