Actually it was more like a 1% chance if you were lucky enough to call a CSR who didn't give a damn about their job or about following procedure.
All you had to do was break up the charges into smaller amounts like 40, 30, 30, 50, etc. You could have made it add up to $296 or $297 and you would have gotten reimbursed for everything.
