787 finishings looked "rushed" on recent CDG-YYZ

On a recent flight CDG-YYZ, I was in 1K of a 787 and noticed something odd about the finishing touches at the front. Were some of the 787's rushed into production? I have every confidence with the plane itself, but the finishing touches seemed rushed. Also, hard to see in the photos, but the caulking/glue, was definitely visible.

This first picture looks like the airline equivalent of bad crown moulding at the bulkhead:


The second picture shows some sort of plastic insert/filler popped out next to the galley:
