I received a shipment last night from my still mysterious Secret Santa, identified only as "Sir Ian Fleming," containing three wrapped packages.
I imagine it was probably kind of hard to shop for me - my description was fairly abstract and just requested something representative of where my Secret Santa lived. But Sir Ian knocked it out of the park with some very thoughtful gifts! I received:
- A bag of coffee from Jamaica, where he or she is originally from
- A really cool looking sake serving set from Japan, where he or she lived for awhile
- A key holder and luggage tag from New York City, where he or she lives now
- A very nice handwritten card
Huge THANK YOU to my Secret Santa, whoever you are! These "taste of another place" type gifts are exactly the sort of thing I was hoping for. I only just created a FT account to participate in Secret Santa this year and it has been a lot of fun. Looking forward to playing again next year already.
