Yes, of course - and I have seen on friends' DL.net by how many seats flights can be overbooked by. This particular flight is a CR9, so, I would expect Y3 to mean that coach is about full, but probably not overbooked, particularly on a Saturday, and during a holiday period with a higher "show-up" rate of pleasure travelers.
That said, on an A320 or B752 Monday morning business flight, certainly, a Y3 can mean that coach is over by 10!
It's oversold by X with 2 seats available for sale. already more checked in than seats available. I'm not posting actual numbers since when I have tried to help in the past i've been scolded by FTers for trying to help out.
