Booked a flight on USAir metal... used my AAdvantage # (which does have my GE#)... then when i go to check in online (or phone) and get boarding pass... no precheck. so i log into USAir with my COnfirm Code...NOT thorugh my USAir log in...reservation comes up with no GE #. yes it's annoying... but i want all my miles to go to AA (except when there is a promotion with USAir)
I've had a very similar experience. My KTN never made it to the ticketing information database on US Airways when i booked a mixed metal ticket using AA.com and US Air Dividend Miles FF while manually imputing the KTN on AA's site.. I ended up calling the US Airways reservations desk and they were able to take care of me.
