Regarding the Citi AA card, I believe the deal is this: there seem to be 3 different versions of the card: Visa, MasterCard, and AmEx? Maybe some business variations as well, but I'm not sure about that. Regardless, it appears that the AmEx (I think; don't quote me on this) and DEFINITELY the Visa (as multiple people have confirmed, and no conflicting reports have arisen) are posting as cash advances. The MasterCard, however, is running as a purchase.
Hope this clears it up, as the devil's in the details, but I don't believe there has been any conflicting info.
