As a few members have already posted above, seems like so long as you have *G printed on the boarding pass, you'll have no issues with lounge access for UA, which makes sense as they scan your boarding pass anyway at the reception desk and your *A (NZ membership number and status) details would be pulled up on their screen anyway.

FYI the UA lounges I've accessed throughout my trip were:
LHR (Terminal 2b), LAX (Terminal 7), BOS, ORD (Terminal 1 Concourse C), SEA.

With the LHR lounge just absolutely... NOT UA. I thought the "United Club" signs outside was a joke! In fact it was far nicer than the quickly degrading and old Star Alliance lounge in LHR T1.
