I did about 12K miles in 2014 with Star alliance for personal use (25K including corporate flights), of which 2 with Aegean. I think i'll be fine, though there will be less corporate flights. While the (re) qualifications must be tough for some, I think that they actually are quite fair: Still much better than other competing programs.
Also there are added benefits. Gold will have to do four flights with Aegean, but each year one would also get four certificates to upgrade to business class for free. Thats a great advantage!
