1.) Sounds like you don't have rental car status? However, you might have the AMEX Platinum card which gives you free status at Hertz, National, and Avis
2.) All I can say is keep searching. Priceline, hotwire has some cheap rates if you have no company preference.
3.) I am not quite sure what you mean by "I can't return until the next day"
4.) Enterprise is currently running a weekend special deal. However, the miles are limited so I am not sure if that fits your needs. The rate would apply for Oct 3-6, then you would pay 1 day reg rate (might be cheaper)
