Edit: Ok, I see in the WIKI that the executive card "starts the clock over" so it's advised to apply for the personal platinum card first. I'm a little unclear on this. I'm assuming the personal platinum card refers to an AA card, so would it not also restart the clock?
The Citi AA Exec is churnable so the only clock you need to adhere to is the 8/65 day rule in the Wiki for Citi applications. An application for the Citi Plat has no bearing on getting a Citi Exec whereas the opposite is not true.
