Typically under the rules, BA will kick back a mixed itinerary (inc code shares), and will demand only BA flights and metal.
(Some have another experience, but they are lucky exceptions in my mind)
My GUF LHR-SIN-SYD-LHR was approved in less than 24 hours, but BA kicked out the SYD-MEL sectors on QF even though in the ticket.
