AA charges 35K miles for a Coach one-way between Germany and Thailand, so you could use AA miles in one direction, and UA miles (converted from UR points) in the other.
I see what you are saying, but there are only award seats available the first week in October and i need something later in the month (around the 20th).
Also, I only need flights one-way.
