My understanding is that Dougie Express flights get no meal currently. On October 1, they will start getting a "meal" in a box. Eagle flights will switch to "meals" in boxes on October 1 as well.
The OP stated UX F so I assumed the OP was asking about United Express.
As for the AA express flights, my understanding is the same as yours.
