If this is a ski trip then Teton Village is better because you are right at the ski area and not 10 miles away in Jackson.

Some of the potential routes you can take are closed in the winter but I dont recall which ones off the top of my head.

Are you used to driving in snow? You could fly into JAC and then the hotel may have an airport shuttle or you could use a taxi/shuttle service to Teton village and not need a car.

Jackson Hole skiing is really for those who are expert level skiiers.If you are picking this place and you dont ski much pick another place closer to SLC (park city, etc)
