Maybe mixed experiences, but here's a case point from another thread about this same topic:
I used this last year and split my stay between bellagio and aria. Did 2 nights at bellagio for 248 with 200 dining credit and stayed at aria for 2 nights for 176 with 200 dining credit.
However at both the credits were only good at each specific resort and not all MGM properties. Bellagio would not allow the credit to be used at the spa either.
