I currently have a Chase Explorer card with a high credit limit that is due for renewal and the $95 fee. Would it be possible to call Chase and open a Southwest Premier card (50,000 miles) and a Southwest Business card (25,000 miles) and close the Explorer card? I would request that they split the Explorer credit limit between the two cards. Has any one tried to have Chase close one card and open others?
