Many years ago flying LGW-MSP on a NW DC-10 we were diverted to Fargo because of winds. We sat on the ground for a couple hours before flying on to MSP.
As a GE I had gotten my only true OpUp on NW and wanting to pay it back I lent my cell phone to about ten people who needed to call people to let them know what was up. Hard to remember times where a cell phone was something out of the ordinary
