It's kinda sad that TK op-ups Y booking class pax rather than own elites.
Why is that? They upgraded you as en Elite Plus member, and if there are no other Elite members onboard the flight they'd probably pick whoever suits the bill at the moment. There are quite few M&S Elites on each flight I have noticed.
The chance of being upgraded when traveling solo is the highest, as opposed if you're traveling with your family. Then they'll probably pick a non-status solo pax, over a status customer with multiple members in his travel party.
