I got 2000 miles from the enrollment in October 2012. No flight activity so far. I plan to fly and earn 6000 miles in the outbound flight next month and earn another 6000 miles for the return flight after two weeks. In the end, I will have about 14000 miles. How many more miles do I need to accumulate after getting 14k miles to earn gold status? Since I probably earn blue status after the first outbound flight and the 2nd 6k will count toward the gold status, do I need to earn 6k or 8k more miles to get it? Thanks for any advice.
