In other words, it's a cost limitation. Given Finnair is not exactly printing money at the moment, and is not particularly large a company, I see no reasons for them to do any better from.
Amadeus kinda screwed it up with the CheckMyTrip app as someone else already noted, and yet travel-related IT is their core business. It's not Finnair's.
