Pub for atmosphere
Staying at the Churchill next week and we'd like to stop into a pub in the evening around 9 pm just to experience the atmosphere. Probably just one drink and a nibble, so food quality is not very important, but would like something close to typical pub atmosphere. I guess I'm thinking noisy and crowded with locals, but we also want to stay pretty close to the hotel.
I've seen The Running Footman, The Grazing Goat, and The Three Tuns mentioned above. Any preferences?
Just looking at websites, I noticed that The Grazing Goat has oysters on the menu, and although they might be a bit out of season the first week in May, as my wife loves oysters that is the one I'm leaning to right now.
