Probably true on the last bit, but not surprising. BA fleet planning have shown in the last few years they're not exactly the best in the business.
Having said that I wouldn't want their job. With the lead time on new aircraft and the ups and downs of the global economy it must be nigh on impossible to get the mix right with such a varied route network.
The late delivery of the 787s must have had a strong impact on a lot of airlines plans. I wonder whay will happen if the A350 and 777X hit problems during certification.
