I was able to have the gold SPG folks manually (whatever that means) create 3 points reservations for me in Feb. 2015. They show up as rack rate reservations on my SPG account. I was originally told that they would show points eventually. But, after several calls to SPG and to the hotel, a knowledgeable SPG Plat line agent explained that they will never show points. But, I can rely on the e-mails that were sent showing the points redeemed for the dates of the reservations. I hope that works. I think it will. Good luck!
