AmexCent - I don't see how anything good could have come out of that conversation. If they said no to the match, I would have said thanks and moved on. Citi's computer and standard recon process allowed me to open a second card with no questions or issues of any kind. I will report bonus posting results and anything else interesting that happens. The fact that I called in very early on (before the 100K offer was even posted here or on any blog) probably helped me get match.
